PROJECT OVERVIEW
Developed in collaboration with Marta Suprynowicz, - the furniture collection for Palazzo Cervo Boutique Hotel in Taranto, Italy, is a profound exploration of local cultural heritage and natural inspiration. The design deeply roots itself in Taranto's essence, transforming the region's most iconic symbol—the olive tree—into a sophisticated design language that speaks to the area's community's traditions, culinary pride, and natural beauty.
Drawing inspiration from the distinctive characteristic of olive trees—their unique, twisting growth pattern—the collection translates this organic movement into stylized furniture elements. Each piece becomes a narrative of Taranto's landscape, using locally sourced materials like re-olivar (olive stone) and aluminum, which reflect the region's natural and industrial heritage. The design goes beyond aesthetics, creating an immersive dining experience celebrating local culture and sustainable design principles.
