PROJECT OVERVIEW
The album cover for “Déjà vu”, Augustina's latest release, presents a visually striking blend of nostalgia and subtle surrealism. Based on a black-and-white photograph of the artist seated in a quiet, reflective moment, the design captures a sense of memory and repetition - core ideas evoked by the album's title.
A fisheye lens effect combined with a gentle rotational blur creates the impression of a moment caught in motion, as if being revisited in a dream. This movement draws focus to the artist at the center, while the soft, spinning edges echo the way memories often return - vivid in feeling, yet blurred around the edges.
To enrich the image's atmosphere, the design incorporates details inspired by vintage photography. Set against a deep black background, the result is an image that feels timeless, like a found photograph taken with a small pinhole camera - intimate, imperfect, and authentic.

KEY FEATURES
Concept rooted in memory and repetition: Creates a visual representation of déjà vu that captures the album's thematic exploration of recurring memories and emotional reflection.
Fisheye lens effect with rotational blur: Creates a focused spinning motion that emphasizes the artist at center while creating dreamlike, soft-edged boundaries reminiscent of how memories return.
Vintage photography elements: Incorporates delicate film scratches, textured aging effects, and a daguerreotype-style treatment to evoke the feel of analog photography.
Color treatment: Features soft blue and warm brown tonal layers that add emotional warmth and a timeworn texture, complementing the film-inspired visual language.
Pinhole aesthetic: The black background provides a foundation that enhances the central image with textures and frames the intimate imagery, creating the impression of a found photograph captured with a small pinhole camera - raw, imperfect, and emotionally resonant.
Minimalist typography: Presents the album title “Déjà vu” in a soft blue serif typeface with the artist's name in clean, minimalist styling for modern balance.
Complete vinyl package design: Extends the concept across the full vinyl sleeve and record label, creating a cohesive physical product experience.
